Peters Racing will be defending the Holden Australian Drivers Championship Silver Star Award during the 2002 season.

The series is shaping up to be exciting and challenging with meetings scheduled across the country: two each in Victoria and New South Wales and one meeting each in SA and NT.

The exact schedule and venues will be released in the next few weeks and will be posted here.

We then plan to compete in an additional series of meetings that will include the prestigious Gold Coast Indy Carnival. Formula Holden will be making its debut as the major support race for the CART program. We expect to perform well at Indy as it should suit our car well being quite fast for a street circuit.

We are looking forward to what will be a fantastic, high profile event offering great promotional opportunities for our sponsors with a huge national and international audience. Our marketing agency Hothouse Communications is currently working with us to exploit the marketing potential of this world-class event.

The races in New Zealand will incorporate the New Zealand Grand Prix, a real favourite of ours, where we have achieved 3 top ten finishes during three consecutive years of competition. With our technical innovations coming on line this year we are expecting to improve on our previous performances. Stay tuned for the official announcement of this series and the venues.

We have been busy with our principal engineering partner CANTECH Precision Engineering during the off-season and are implementing several new technical developments designed to overcome difficulties noted last year.

There are additional improvements under design and development that will come on line throughout the season.

Finally, to ensure we maintain the same outstanding record of reliability demonstrated last year, the car is currently undergoing a thorough check up and program of parts replacement.
