Where have I been

Sunday, June 17th, 2012

Well apart from working we have been building trolleys for the two race cars so I can reorganise the workshop.

Each is made to suit the requirements of a particular car and will support trays. spares and jigs as needed.

They are pretty substantial devices as seen here unlike our lightweight gear for work at the track.

Big News – FVA

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

After years of coveting an FVA engine for our Bowin P3 we had almost collected all the pieces we would need to build one. Then one fateful day an email arrived with news. Big News!. Not only did the original engine get recovered from the speedboat accident it had but it had received some new components to fix it and was now in Perth. It was also not in a car and was available. There was only one small problem, funding. As usual Rebecca was more supportive than I deserved. She offered to forgo some of the house projects she has already waited 15 years for and we are now committed to purchase the engine. It will arrive with completely new internal components and basically be ready to run in a month or so. So now we could ge the car together for the Tasman revival meeting in November.
